Translations Tab

In the 'Translations' tab, it is possible to define translations for the catalog name in all supported languages. These translations are stored as 'translations of application text' and can thus also be administered from the 'Translations of Application Text' catalog and editor accessible from the Valuemation Core sidebar.

To define translations in the Catalog Customizer:

  1. Open the Catalog Customizer for the catalog whose name is to be translated.
  2. Locate the 'Translations' tab
  3. Specify catalog names in the supported languages and click 'OK' to save the changes

Catalog name translations are also used as default translations for the catalog in the side bar. Sidebar translations can then be further customized for individual users by a process described in the 'Sidebar Translations' help section.

Translations of other catalog elements

  • Column Names

Column names are effectively translations of attributes. Translations of attributes are defined in the 'Translation editor'.

  • Action Buttons and Menu Items

Translations of the action buttons and menu items are defined in the 'Action customizer'.

  • Drop-down List Values

Values in drop-down lists which are taken from a fixed value set are defined in the 'Value set customizer'.
