Translations of Catalogs and Folders in the Sidebar

Sidebar content is intended to be customized. When it comes to names and translations:

  • It is possible to specify user-specific names of sidebar folders and catalogs
  • These names are also language-specific, it is possible to create user-specific names in different languages, thus creating customized translations.

Sidebar folder and catalog names can be edited by inplace editing directly in the sidebar.

Technical background:

Sidebar and catalog translations are saved in the database table AMT_SIDEBARTRANS. Within Valuemation, all existing translations of this kind can be seen via the 'Translations of Catalogs and Sidebar' catalog. The catalog lists translations created by individual users in all languages. Note that the catalog is not intended for administration of translations, the translations should be created and edited directly in the sidebar or catalog customizer. The 'Translations of Catalogs and Sidebar' catalog provides an overview of which translations of individual types and languages exist and which users created them.
