Workaround - Editing Process

Role: Problem Support

Reference user: -REF-PRS

Process: Assigning, accepting and proposing a Workaround

The Workaround development process involves the following:

  1. Creating and assigning the Workaround.

In the Assigned Workarounds reference catalog of the source problem editor, click the Create Workaround button. See the 'Create and Assign Workaround' topic.

  2. Accepting the Workaround.

A newly created Workaround is in status 'Created (WA)'. Now it needs to be accepted for further editing. Locate the Workaround in the Workarounds catalog and click the Accept WA button.

This changes Workaround status from 'Created (WA)' to 'In Progress (WA)'. Alternatively (if the status already is 'In Progress (WA)'), accepting the Workaround would be done by clicking Work on.

  3. Proposing the Workaround.

In a catalog of Workarounds, select a Workaround which you have accepted and click the Propose WA button.

A ticket description editor opens, fill in relevant information and click OK. The proposal ticket description is added to the Workaround ticket, editor closes and Workaround status changes to 'Proposed (WA)'.
