Service Request Shop In Use

Opening the Shop

Standard ways to start the Shop are:

  • User tile 'Request Service'

    The tile can be found in the start page of several business views and in the 'User Tiles' InfoObject.

  • Sidebar action 'Request Service'

    Action 'Request Service' can be found in the 'Actions' section of the 'Sidebar' InfoObject in business views 'SRM Catalogue Manager', 'SRM Manager', 'SRM Request Fulfillment'.

Depending on customization, the Shop can be started anywhere where action 'Request Service' (workflow definition 'RequestingUniversal_Shop') has been made available. The 'Request Service' user tile can be easily added to any start page.

Using the Shop

Ordering products and services via the Shop involves the following steps:

  1. Select the product or service in the main Shop workspace.

    Browse the categories or use the search field to locate the item you need, then click its 'Cart' button. If the product allows additional configuration, link 'Configure' is also available. Clicking the link opens the item in the Configurator instead of the shopping cart.

  2. Specify requested configuration of the product or service in the Configurator. (Optional - if 'Configure' clicked in step 1.)

    In the Configurator you choose available options, get on overview of the resulting configuration and its price, and send the configured item to the Cart.

  3. Process the Cart

    In the final step, the content of the Cart is requested by clicking the 'Submit Request' button. Before doing so it is possible to specify a common system, location and wish day for the items. It is also possible to postpone requesting by saving the cart or to save the content of the cart as a template for further repeated use.

The Service Request Shop with its predefined products and services is one of two possible ways in which the user can raise a request. The other way, registering service requests as tickets, is covered by Valuemation Incident Management (see the 'Call Acceptance' chapter).

It is also possible to raise a new RFC / Change out of the Service Shop:

  1. Select 'IT-Changes' in the main shop page.
  2. Select the requested type of change (Standard Changes, Normal Changes,Emergency Changes or Change Proposal)
  3. Select one of the predefined changes
  4. Provide further change specification using 'Change Details'.
  5. Add the item to cart and submit the request.
