Audit for Newly Created Objects

The Enable also audit of newly created objects function enables you to store initial attribute values of the newly created objects.

Enabling the Function

To enable the 'Enable also audit of newly created objects' function:

  1. Open the Global Settings.

    Go to Settings > Global Setting.

  2. Select the Enable also audit of newly created objects check box.

Example of Use

The following example demonstrates the practical use of the function:

  1. In the Incident Manager, create a new Incident ticket.
  2. Right-click the new Incident and select Show History nn the Incidents catalog.
  3. The Audited Changes catalog opens.

    Here you can see the initial values of the attributes being audited.

  4. Now go back to the Incident in the Incident Editor and change one of its attributes.

    In this example, we are changing the 'Status' attribute by accepting the Incident.

  5. Open the 'Audited Changes' catalog again.

    Now you can see that the change of the 'Status' attribute have been recorded but the initial value is still available, too.
