Changing the Layout: More Options

Other options for the view alteration include:

  • Context menu on view elements

If you right-click a view element in the View Designer, the menu appears. Depending on the specific element type, it can contain the following items:

    • Insert Row

Inserts an empty row above the selected view element to create a space for another view element. Repeat this action to increase the space size.

    • Insert Column

Inserts a new column in the View Designer and splits the layout by the overall number of columns. The overall number of columns can be controlled via the Tab properties.

    • Cut

Enables you to cut the selected view element and paste it elsewhere. Note that you cannot paste the view element in the same tab but only in other tabs.

    • Overlay Label

If selected, the label of the view element will be hidden. This option applies to attributes only.

    • Edit Value Set

Call the Value Set Customizer. Available only if the view element contains a value set.

  • The 'Switch Cells' action

When you select just two view elements with the same row span and column span and right-click the selection, the 'Switch Cells' action appears on the context menu. This action enables you to change the mutual position of the selected elements.
