Translations of View Elements

Window Title

An editor window title consists of three parts:

• Name of the action used to open the editor
• Name of the object type
• Descriptive attributes of the displayed business object

The translations of the first two parts are controlled by the Action customizer and Translation editor, the language of the third part is not affected by the language selected in Valuemation, but it depends on the language of the user data of business objects stored in Valuemation.

Tab Names

Translations of tab names are defined in the View customizer.

Field Labels

Field labels display translations of attributes. Translations of attributes are defined in the Translation editor.

Reference Lists

Tabs of reference lists display translations of the relation attributes. Translations of relation attributes are also defined in the Translation editor. The same object type may have different translations in different relations. You need to create translations according to the specific relation attribute.

Column heads in the reference lists display translations of the corresponding attributes. These are defined in the Translation editor.

Action Buttons and Menu Items

Translations of the action buttons and menu items are defined in the 'Action customizer'.

Drop-down List Values

Values in drop-down lists which are taken from a fixed value set are defined in the “Value set customizer”.

To change the translations of values in a drop-down list, you first need to find out which value set they are taken from.

1. Open the 'Object type customizer', select the object type of the view
2. Find the corresponding attribute according to the field label in the view and find out the name of the corresponding value set
3. Open the 'Value set customizer' and locate the value set.
4. Switch to the 'Value/Label Id' tab and specify the translations
