Email Templates

In Valuemation, it is possible to predefine email templates which can then be used to automatically generate emails (using Valuemation Escalation for instance) or when the 'Send Email' action is called for an object (for instance, by using the right-click context menu in a catalog). Using Email templates, status information can be provided to a user at various points during the System or Ticket life cycle.

Email catalogs can typically be found in the 'Valuemation Administration' sidebar, under 'Catalogs' / 'Configuration' / 'EMails' of the Valuemation managers which use the email functionality. The catalogs can also be added to any other sidebar section.

Valuemation email functionality is based on the following structure of object types:

  • Email Template
    • Defines the email format (plain / rich)
    • Defines recipients
    • Defines the on-status-change configuration
    • Refers to the related Business Object Type
    • Is a "container" of email bodies
  • Email Body
    • Defines email language
    • Defines email subject
    • Defines email body
  • Email Object
    • Holds the output of a processed email template
    • Can be shown before sending the email
    • Is used for sending mails by escalation
