Master Plan / Ongoing Plans / Actual Plan

Setting a plan as Master is done using the Set as Master action called from the right-click context menu in a catalog of plans. This action opens a special version of the plan editor, where it is possible to specify master validity date period of the plan.

Master plan cannot be edited but it may be used as the basis for creating ongoing plans. Ongoing plans are copies of the master plan which are in status In Development and can thus be further modified to reflect real time changes in the business environment.

From an ongoing plan it is possible to create Snapshots. Snapshots are copies of the plan which are not changeable. These can be used, for instance, to store different planning states for reporting.

Actual Plan is an image of the reality. It is generated either from an external tool or from the actual Payments from Orders. It serves the purpose of comparing and editing other plans.
