Service Options and Option Groups

Service Options represent quality variants of services. They are assigned to Service Parameters. A service option assigned to a service parameter represents a certain "predefined value" of the parameter applied when a service is instantiated with the corresponding service option. From this point of view, a service acts as an "envelope" object comprising different options, with certain parameters and/or parameter values used only for certain options.

Examples of standard Service Options are Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze. The images below depict possible differences between two such options.

Service options are grouped according to their use into Service Option Groups. For instance, 'Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze' service options may all belong to service option group 'Support Package' while options 'Broadband' and 'Baseband' will belong to service option group 'Bandwidth'.
