Service Measures

Service measures objects can be used to plan long and short term strategies and goals for the initial creation and continuous improvement of the service, which includes a description of which features will be delivered at what time.

In Valuemation, service measures are represented by 'Service Measures' objects which contain a description of the measures and a set attributes instrumental in their implementation. Service measures are assigned to service templates. More than one service measures object can be linked to a service template.

Creation and Assignment of Service Measures

  1. Open a service template for editing.
  2. Locate and switch to the "Service Measures' tab at the bottom of the 'Service Template' editor.
  3. Call the 'Create' action in the tab (right-click context menu or the 'Create' button).
  4. The 'New: Service Measures' editor opens. Use it to create a new service measures object.

Specify 'Measure Type' ('Roadmap', 'Service Review', 'Service Improvement Plan', 'Service Quality Plan', 'Business Criticality Check', 'Continual Service Improvement', 'Risk Analysis') and 'Objective' ('Evaluation, 'Communication', 'Replacement' or 'Standardisation'). In addition to self-explanatory roadmap attributes, specify also:

    • Event Trigger - specify textually when the changes represented by the roadmap should come in effect.
    • Costs - specify foreseen external costs (subcontracted services, external consultants, etc.) incurred in connection with roadmap implementation

Describe the measures textually in the rich text field at the bottom of the editor.

  5. Click 'Ok' to save the changes.
