Generating Distributions

Correct assignment of service providers is important for further processing of the service by the Planning and Calculation Manager, where the service provider(s) assignment plays an important role in the distribution network for the service.

Distribution Networks and their Distribution Elements can be created out of the service structure. Distribution Network represents the rules for cost distribution (budget or actual costs) to services, service components and/or customers.

To see the assignment from the distribution network perspective:

  1. Locate the service instance and call action 'Generate Distributions'. When prompted, specify 'Valid From date' and click 'Ok'.
  2. The 'New: Distribution Network' editor opens. In the 'Nodes' tab of the editor, you can see all nodes of the created distribution network for the service.

  3. Switching the 'Nodes' reference catalog to its Visualizer mode displays the distribution network in a more convenient graphical form. You can see the assigned provider as one of the contribution nodes of the service.
