Assignment Actions

In addition to the incoming goods action which can create products and components on the basis of contract items, the link between a contract item and a component can be created and administered manually by a variety of assignment actions.

• It is possible to link contract items and components in both directions: to assign an existing component to a contract item or to assign a contract item to a component or product.
• To reassign an already contracted component to a new or different contract item, the subsequent contract item assignment is used.
• Supplementary contract items can be assigned to a single piece of infrastructure in order to cover different aspects of the infrastructure ownership (such as acquisition vs. maintenance) separately.
• The link between a component and a contract item can be removed by unlinking the component from the contracted product.
