Translations Defined for Business Objects

The very basic level of translations in Valuemation are translations of object type names and attributes. Translations of object type names and attributes are administered by the Valuemation 'Translation Editor'. These translations are stored in database table 'AMT_BOTRANSLATION'.

For example, providing the German and Italian translations for business object type 'Component' ensures that 'Component' is always referred to as 'Komponente' when the application is switched to German and 'Componente' when Italian is selected as GUI language. At the attribute level, component attribute 'Serial No.' might be labeled 'Serien-Nr.' in German and 'No. Serie' in Italian.

Additionally, object type and attribute tooltips and their translations can also be specified in the Translation Editor.
