Calling the Catalog Customizer (Admin)

The Catalog Customizer is primarily accessed from the Customization Browser. In the lower section of the Customization browser, there is the 'Catalog' tab with the Catalog browser below and the adjacent control buttons which allow you to call the Catalog Customizer in the following way:

  • If you select and double click a catalog directly in the Catalog browser, the Catalog Customizer for the selected catalog is called.
  • Use the control buttons next to the Catalog browser to perform the basic operations such as Edit, Create, Copy or Remove. The 'Edit' and 'Create' actions call the Catalog Customizer.

Alternatively, it is also possible to call the Catalog Customizer:

  • From a catalog
    1. Right-click on the opened catalog to call the catalog context menu.
    2. Select 'Edit Catalog' from the 'Customize' menu.

      The Catalog Customizer opens.

Note: If you right-click on the opened catalog, both the 'Edit Catalog' and the 'Edit user-defined catalog' items are available. While the 'Edit Catalog' enables you to edit the Catalog Definition which stands for a template of all catalogs, the latter option enables you to edit a User-defined Catalog Definitions. See also the Catalog Customization chapter.

  • From the Sidebar InfoObject
    1. Right-click on the catalog in the SideBar InfoObject to call the catalog context menu.
    2. Select 'Edit Catalog' from the 'Customize' menu.

      The Catalog Customizer opens.
