Search Conditions

Every query performed on a Valuemation catalog consists of a search condition(s). The search conditions are defined in the search area above the catalog and are all joined by the 'AND' operator. It means that a business object must meet all the defined conditions to be displayed in the catalog as the search result.

Each search condition in the Column Search is defined for an attribute and consists of an operator and the attribute value(s).

The components of a condition are:

  • Attribute

The name of the attribute which the condition will be applied to.

  • Condition operator

Operator for the searched attribute value.

  • Attribute value

Value which the value of the attribute will be compared to.

  • Case sensitivity

Case sensitivity selection for the 'text field' attribute.

Note1: For a 'text field' attribute, its possible to select whether the search on this attribute will or will not be case sensitive.

Note2: If no attribute value is specified for an attribute, the attribute does not play any role in the search.
