Installation and Configuration of Valuemation Rich Client

Preconditions

• The Valuemation database has to be installed on a supported database server before the installation.

• The 'Preparation for Installation' requirements must be checked.

Distribution

The Valuemation installation packages are distributed as:

• Rich Client for Admin and User

  Example: Valuemation_4_6_B123.zip

• Rich Client for Customizer

  Example: Valuemation_4_6_B284_jetty.zip

For differences among the package versions, please see the Running the Rich Client topic.

Important: Valuemation Jetty builds are separate installations. A new Jetty installation is needed for each individual hotfix. Please contact USU Support Center to ask for the new Jetty installation.

First Steps

1. Extract the content of 'Valuemation_X_Y_Bxyz.zip' file into a target folder.
2. Go to the folder and locate key configuration files.

   Next you will edit the files and save them with the new settings (see below).
