Catalog InfoObject Customization

In Valuemation, it is possible to set certain catalogs as individual Catalog InfoObjects. These InfoObjects are managed via the InfoObject Catalog.

InfoObject Catalog

Open the InfoObject Catalog catalog from the Sidebar InfoObject to define and manage the individual Catalog InfoObjects. All of the Catalog InfoObjects listed in this catalog can be found in the InfoObject Selector under the appropriate InfoObject category and can be dragged into the desktop.

Note: The availability of URL InfoObjects in the InfoObject Selector also depends on the Authorization settings. The InfoObjects have to be authorized as Technical Object Types in the Authorization Manager to be available.

InfoObject Catalog in the Edit View

If you want to edit the existing Catalog InfoObject or create a new Catalog InfoObject, select 'Edit' or 'Create' from the right-click menu. The InfoObject Catalog editor opens.

The InfoObject Catalog editor contains the following elements:

Master tab:

  • Name

Internal name of the InfoObject Catalog.

  • Label ID

LabelID of the InfoObject Catalog used for the translation. If the LabelID is set, the translation button on the InfoObject Catalog will be enabled (if you click the translation button, a new entry in Translations of Application text will be created).

  • Catalog

Select the required catalog to become InfoObject Catalog. All catalogs which are allowed in the sidebar are displayed. Use the adjacent control buttons to manage the catalog assignment.

  • Category

Select the required category. After the category is selected, the InfoObject Catalog object will be displayed under this category in the InfoObject Selector. Use the adjacent control buttons to manage the category assignment.

Note: The name of the category is usually translated so the displayed name on the InfoObject Selector menu may differ from what you can see here in the InfoObject Catalog editor.

  • With search panel

If selected, the catalog shown in the InfoObject will contain the defined search panel.

  • With refresh action

If selected, the refresh action will be available for the InfoObject.

  • Released

If selected, the InfoObject appears in the InfoObject Selector. Otherwise the InfoObject is not available there and cannot be dragged to the desktop.

Comments tab:

  • Comments

The field enables you to add a personal comment to the InfoObject Catalog.

The selected InfoObject Catalog can be translated using the 'Translate' button located at the bottom of the editor. The Translate button will launch the Translation of Application Text catalog which enables you to define the translation.
