InfoObject Category

InfoObjects categories are used for the categorization of InfoObjects in the InfoObject selector in the Valuemation toolbar.

InfoObject Category Catalog

In this catalog, you can define and manage categories of InfoObjects which are available in the InfoObject selector.

Note:

• There is no possibility to control the order of the InfoObject category.
• Currently there is only one level of categories available to be set in the menu.

InfoObject Category in the Edit View

Double-click an existing InfoObject Category or select 'Create' or 'Edit' from the right-click menu. The InfoObject editor opens.

The InfoObject editor contains the following elements:

• Name

  Internal name of the category.

• Label ID

  Label ID of the category (used for translation).

• Comments

  An additional description.

Reference Catalog: InfoObjects

Here you can see all InfoObjects defined for this category. The InfoObjects which are available here are visible in the InfoObject Selector.

Note: Only the 'Released' InfoObjects are visible.

Reference Catalog: SmartTiles

Here you can see all SmartTiles which are defined for this InfoObject Category. This category is visible when searching for SmartTiles in the Start Page (when you click the 'Configure Start Page' link) or in the 'Tiles' InfoObject.

Note: The name of the category can be translated using the 'Translate' button located at the bottom of the window. The Translate button will launch the Translation of Application Text catalog.
