Actions InfoObjects CustomizationAction InfoObjects provide another way for Valuemation users to start workflows. The workflows assigned to individual Action InfoObjects are defined and managed in the InfoObject Actions catalog. InfoObject Actions Catalog Open the InfoObject Actions catalog from the Sidebar InfoObject to define and manage the individual Action InfoObjects. All of the Action InfoObjects listed in this catalog can be found in the InfoObject Selector under the appropriate InfoObject category and can be dragged into the desktop. Note: The availability of URL InfoObjects in the InfoObject Selector also depends on the Authorization settings. The InfoObjects have to be authorized as Technical Object Types in the Authorization Manager to be available. InfoObject Actions in the Edit View If you want to edit the existing Action InfoObject or create a new Action InfoObject, select 'Edit' or 'Create' from the right-click menu. The Action InfoObject editor opens. It contains some general fields and the most important workflows assignment section on the Workflows tab. Below you can find control buttons which enable you to manage the workflow assignment. Clicking the 'Edit' or 'Search and Assign' buttons opens the browser of available workflow definitions which you can pick the required workflow from. Note: The workflows assigned to the Action InfoObject are equivalent to the common workflows which can be found in the Sidebar InfoObject. The selected Action InfoObject can be translated using the 'Translate' button. The Translate button will launch the Translation of Application Text catalog which enables you to define the translation. Workflow Order Priority and the Icon Assignment If you double click on the selected workflow link on the Workflows tab, the 'Link InfoObject Workflow' editor appears. Here you can define path to the icon for the workflow link and the requested order of the workflow links (as they are to be displayed in the Action InfoObject).
Formatting the Button Text The button text on the Action InfoObject buttons can be formatted according to predefined HTML style sheet classes: ActionTitle and ActionDesc. The Translate button on the Action InfoObject editor automatically suggests the usage of the style sheet classes and presets the appropriate syntax in the Standard Translation for the button text.
