This script activity allows a user to define his own activity. It runs a user script written in Python. The user arguments can be passed to the script using alternative names for the default input. Under that name you can then refer to the incoming variable inside the script.
By default, the operations within the script are performed in the workflow transaction. Of course, you can also create your own transaction but remember that having done this, you also take the responsibility for committing it correctly to the database.

The map of output arguments used by the script. The argument names used within the script are extracted as the alternative names through default output. To refer to a variable used within the script one has to use its name (as called in the script) as an alternative name for the output, the appropriate value is then extracted automatically. |
