Value Set Customizer

While the initial starting point for the value set management is the Customization Browser with the Value Set browser, the Value Set Customizer is the actual tool for the creation and configuration of value sets.

Calling the Value Set Customizer

The Value Set customizer can be started in the following way:

  • If you select and double click a value set directly in the Value Set browser, the Value Set Customizer for the selected value set is called.
  • Use the control buttons next to the Value Set browser to Edit, Create Fixed Set, Create Object Set or Create Relation Object Set.

    Select and double-click a value set to edit it or use one of the 'Create' options to start the Value Set Customizer.

Alternatively, it is also possible to open a particular value set for customization directly from:

  • Object Type Customizer

    Value Set customizer can be called directly for an object type attribute which has a value set assigned.

    1. Go to the Object Type Customizer > 'Attributes' tab > 'Used Attributes' section.
    2. Right-click in the 'Value Set' column of the attribute with a value set assigned and select 'Edit Value Set'.

      The assigned value set opens for customization.

  • View Customizer

    Value Set customizer can be called directly for an attribute with 'Choice box' formatter.

    1. Go to the View Customizer > 'Group Layout' tab > 'Master' sub-tab.
    2. Right-click in the line containing an attribute with 'Choice box' formatter and select 'Edit Value Set'.

      The assigned value set opens for customization.

  • View (the editor)

    Value Set customizer can even be called from the Valuemation editor.

    1. Right-click in a drop-down field using a value set.
    2. Select 'Edit Value Set' action.

      The assigned value set opens for customization.
