Restructuring of Options

Should the need to restructure items in the configurator arise, action 'Move to' in the 'Options' tab comes to the rescue. Use the action to move existing shop offer options to another option.

For example, let's restructure the configurator for a new PC workplace by "wrapping" the 'PC' and Monitor' items to a new option called 'Main Hardware'.

  1. In the 'Shop Offer' editor, go to the 'Options' tab.
  2. Click the 'Create Group' button to create the new 'Main Hardware' option. In the 'Option Source' dialog, use 'Create empty group'.
  3. Multi-select the 'PC' and 'Monitor' options and call right-click menu action 'Move to...'.
  4. In the next 'Select parent group or product...' window, select the newly created 'Main Hardware' option and click 'Ok'.

The 'PC' and 'Monitor' options will disappear from the root offer and appear as options under the new 'Main Hardware' option.
