Customize valueset CTI.PluginNames

The valueset “CTI.PluginNames” is used:

a) to name a collection of parameters used to connect to CTI server to monitor a phone of an user (see Action Setup CTI User Settings);

b) to distinguish locations by name (location in which CTI server, is located), which are differing in: InternationalCode, AreaCode, DialCode, or OutsideLineAccess. See also Action Setup CTI Administrator Settings and the "Values reported by Valuemation CTI to the workflow" picture in this chapter.

E.g. there will be plugin names:

  • CiscoKarlsruhe, Karlsruhe has AreaCode = 0721
  • CiscoSttutgart, Stuttgart has AreaCode = 0711

If b) does not have to be used, i.e. when all CTI servers of the same type are in the same location, then name a plugin simply as a connection type, e.g. “Cisco”.

Plugin name is reported in the log file when an event, comming from CTI server, is recognized, e.g.

Cisco:

09/25 11:00:39.525 20 CiscoKarlsruhe META_CALL_STARTING

09/25 11:00:39.525 21 CiscoKarlsruhe CallActiveEvent (CAUSE_NEW_CALL, ACTIVE)

Help Image

CTI plugin name is used to as a prefix in the parameter name defining InternationalCode, AreaCode, DialCode, OutsideLineAccess specific for location of CTI server

Help Image

When a user phone is monitored on CTI server using plugin named „CiscoA“ then it is assumed that „AreaCode“ is „0711“. If „CiscoA.AreaCode“ is not defined then a value of parameter „AreaCode“,e.g. „07141“, is used.
