Selecting Objects

As the first step, choose what is to be exported.

  1. To export only differences between the original and the current database, select the 'Only incremental differences from the original database' radio button. To export all current objects, select 'Export all objects as created'.
  2. Select objects of which object types are to be exported. Object types can be selected from two tabs: 'Technical object types' and 'Config object types'.

Config object types: If the 'Allow differential export column' is checked for a generic object type (in the 'Object type' tab of Object Type Customizer), then the object type can be found under 'Config Object Types'.

  3. For Config object types, the right-hand window pane provides an attribute filter. See topic 'Valuemation Data Export' for filter creation.
  4. For Technical object types, the right-hand window pane provides an object filter according to assigned modules. Use it to limit the export only to changes/objects assigned to certain business modules.

Note: Dependencies are also detected. If there is an object type dependent on the object type selected for export, it will also be detected.
