Date and Time in Valuemation

Time-related data is a common requirement for most business applications. When working in an international context, the question of time zone differences comes into the play. This can further be complicated by the differences in daylight saving time implementation inherent to each particular country. Valuemation provides a selection of several date and time data types.

This chapter deals with their correct use both from the perspective of an average user (Working With Date&Time) and an advanced user / Valuemation customizer (Date&Time Customization). Special emphasis has been placed on the subject of time zones (Time Zone Implementation in Valuemation, Working With Time Zones).

Note: Where date and time is treated as one concept in the following topics, it is referred to as Date&Time. This is just a convention adopted for brevity's sake and does not denote any special feature or attribute.
