Export of Parameters

It is possible to transfer shop parameter definitions between databases using Valuemation metamodel export and import.

To export shop parameter definitions:

  1. Make sure the original database schema ('EXPORT_ORIG session') is selected in the 'dbconfig.bat' file.

The exported data will be the difference between data in the 'EXPORT_ORIG session' and the current 'VALUEMATION session'.

  2. In Valuemation rich client, go to menu 'Customize' and call item 'Export Metamodel'. 'Exporter of Metamodel Changes' opens.
  3. In the 'Exporter of Metamodel Changes' window, go to the 'Technical Object Types' tab and use the root check box to uncheck all listed object types.
  4. Switch to the 'Config Object Types' tab to configure the actual parameters export.
    • Select check boxes for the object types listed in the table below this text..
    • For each of these object types, select a specific attribute filter:

Click on the object type name to select it in the 'Config Object Types' tab on the left. In the right-hand window tab, roll down the 'Attribute Filter' drop-down and select a filter according to the 'Filter' column in the table below this text.

  5. Click the 'Compare' button (at the bottom of the 'Exporter of Metamodel Changes' window) to run the compare action. The result will be displayed in the 'Results' tab.
  6. Specify a target file in the 'File Name' field in the 'Results' tab and click 'Export'.

The resulting file can be used to import shop parameters to another database.
