Valuemation Asset Manager

Valuemation Asset Manager is one of business modules of the Valuemation suite. You can use it to:
- create full transparency over your IT inventory
- manage and document your hardware and software assets in an audit-compliant manner
- cut IT costs by means of largely automated processes that are integrated across systems
- control the use of IT assets actively throughout their lifecycle

Asset management functionality is associated with two Valuemation business views:

  • Asset Support

Asset Supporter performs standard asset-related actions such as configuration items creation or IMAC actions (see the next topic for explanation).

  • Asset Manager

Asset Manager can perform the same actions as the Asset Supporter and is also responsible for tracking, reporting and cooperation with other business areas (orders, services...). The business view thus additionally contains the Dashboard perspective.

First steps

  1. Use the Profile/Settings drop down to open one of the Asset business views.
  2. Business view Start page opens. Standard Start page Smart Tiles provide links to the most frequently used asset actions and catalogs of asset-related object types. More Smart Tiles can easily be added by Start page customization.
  3. The actual work is done in the Work page where Valuemation catalogs and editors open.

See Asset Management in Use for an overview of asset-related use cases.
