Create a Data Type

Data Types are categories of data, which connect data from valuemation with the Business Process Manager and allow the creation of Data Objects that can be directly used in Processes via Flow Objects.

To create a new Data Type:

1. Open the catalog Data Types.
2. Right-click in the catalog to open the context-menu.
3. Select Create.
4. Fill in/choose the mandatory fields:

   Name of the Data Type

   Type class - String, Integer, Boolean, Date, Timestamp, Business Object, Technical Object

5. The icon will be automatically loaded from the selected object later, if available. It is also possible to load external pictures.
6. The button Condition on the bottom allows to configure a user-specified condition on the Data Type.
7. Save the Data Type to finish the creation.
