Escalation TypeLevel

The escalation TypeLevel represents the schedule for a particular escalation Type.

In relation to the estimated deadline, the Escalation TypeLevel indicates different points in time before, exactly at or after that deadline (e.g.  2 hours before the deadline, 1 hour after the deadline and 4 hours after the deadline).This is the schedule according to which actions are carried out. The actions are described in the Escalation Actions object. It is possible to start more than one action when a particular Type Level is reached, so the Escalation Actions are numbered to indicate the sequence.

Function / Meaning

Update Mode

Select the mode for Esc. Record update. Select one of the two possibilities: Escalated Object or EscRecord. This describes the procedure where the deadline information is updated in the Escalation Record object. For Escalated Object, the new deadline is always calculated with respect to the original object and updated in the Escalation Record. For EscRecord, the new deadline is calculated with respect to the existing deadline in the Escalation Record and overwritten in the Escalation Record.

Timing

Indicates whether the Escalation TypeLevel applies before, after or exactly at the scheduled deadline.

Number of Days

Specifies the number of days before or after the scheduled deadline that the Escalation TypeLevel applies.

Number of Hours

Specifies the number of hours before or after the scheduled deadline that the Escalation TypeLevel applies.

Escalation Level

Level Relation to the Escalation Level object and part of the key.

Comment

A comment field for any explanations which may be necessary.
