Standard Change

Standard Change is a pre-approved change that is low risk, relatively common and follows a set procedure or work instructions. An example might be password reset or provision of standard equipment to a new employee.

Standard Change is one of three ITIL-defined change types (see also Normal Change and Emergency Change).

The topics in this section describe working with Standard Changes within Valuemation Change Management module. See also 'Raise a New RFC / Change From the Service Shop' for a simplified, end user targeted way of Standard Change creation.
