Rearranging Transitions

Over time, the graphical display may become cluttered with transitions crossing each other.

The 'Optimize layout of selected elements' function (found in the 'Elements' main menu or right-click context menu) attempts to improve the layout of transitions.

To further improve the layout, use drag and drop to move nodes to better locations. If "Auto Optimize" is enabled, transitions are automatically redrawn to fit the new node locations.

Note: If you need to redraw a transition coming from a different side of a node, mark the transition first. Move the cursor to the point where the transition and the node are connected. The cursor changes into a cross. Keeping the mouse button pressed, move the cursor away from the connection between the transition and the node. The other three points where the transition could be connected to the node are displayed in red. The connection which is closest to the cursor when the mouse button is released becomes the new point of connection.
