Tasks on the Role Mapping Tab

On the Role Mapping tab, you can work from two different points of view represented by the Role view tab and the User view tab. The Role view tab serves for mapping both users and groups while the Users view tab for mapping users to roles only. The following topics describe these actions in step-by-step detail.

  2. Select the role you want to work with from the Available Roles drop-down menu.
  3. Select either Users or Groups tab in the Available Users/Groups section.
  4. If you want to add (map) all users/groups from the Available Users/Groups list to the selected role, click Add all button from the Main Controls.

NOTE: Each user or group can be mapped to none or as many roles as you want. Remember, that a user that is not mapped to any role (either directly or indirectly through group membership) cannot access Valuemation, because he/she has got no granted rights.
