Group Mapping

A Group is a structure that serves for grouping users into logical units and for mapping these units to roles and clients. Group Mapping is the process of assigning individual users to groups. Through assigning users to groups, the users acquire the groups' role and client mappings. The resulting user's role and client mappings is the union of all the groups which the user is a member of, role and client mappings and the individual user's role and client mappings.

Using Group Mapping simplifies the task of mapping and de-mapping or re-mapping more users to same roles and clients at one time. The Group Mapping enables to maintain the structure of groups of users imported from LDAP within Valuemation.
