Business View Mapping

Business Views are used to define various Valuemation desktops. Each desktop is optimized for certain work area within the business organization. It consists of predefined InfoObjects (such as the Sidebar InfoObject). A Business View can be assigned to one or more modules.

Business View Mapping is the process of assigning individual users or whole groups of users to Valuemation Business Views and vice versa. While Business Views as such are not expected to change dramatically over time, users and persons are usually subject to much change. Business View mapping allows for flexible reaction to these changes without changing the definition of the Business View itself.

Any number of users or groups may be mapped to a Business View and a user may be mapped to several Business Views.
