IT- Costing & Charging wins in the today's time increasingly in importance, since it points an enormous potential for reduction of costs out. So it is able to give a powerful tool to the foresighted IT manager, to get the finances not only at short notice under control. Costing & Charging should hold straight within the range of the information technology likewise for introduction, as today in many other, us appearing already natural ranges.

The strategic decision to lead the IT range as Cost/profit centers or system house in order to arrange and to steer the IT costs and achievements more transparent, makes on a long-term basis the introduction of a IT Costing & Charging necessary.  The IT Costing & Charging serves not only the accounting of the IT costs, but supplies also important information for the strategic IT Controlling.

For the implementation of a IT Costing & Charging, the definition of an account model will however be necessarily in the apron, in which one specifies, which achievements of the IT over which IT of products to the customer are sold.

This account model depends on the objective, the organization form of the IT and their surrounding field.
