Asset Management Settings

Asset Management settings can be accessed via the 'Setup Settings - Asset Manager' smart tile or by calling the 'Settings - Asset Manager' action from the 'Actions' sidebar section of asset-related business views.

Create System

  • Create View for Multiple Systems

Select Valuemation view which will be displayed in the first step of the 'Create System(s)...' wizard. By default this is the 'Create Multiple Systems' dialog represented by Valuemation view 'Create View for New Multiple Systems'.

  • Warning for Create Multiple System

Maximum number of copies that can be specified in the 'Copy...' action without a confirmation dialog being displayed.

Configure System

  • Default Source Stock
  • Default Target Stock

Specifies default source and target stock systems for system configuration actions. These default systems are automatically selected when the action is called. Different, client-specific source and target stock can be set by selecting another system and using the 'pin' button next to the selection field.

  • Max Systems to Search Type to Remove

Limitation imposed for performance reasons component type to remove/replace selection in mass configuration actions. The list of component types to remove/replace is created on the basis of component types found in the first N systems for which the mass configuration action is called.

Increasing the number provides a higher probability of the component type match with user requirements at the cost of potentially worse performance.

Move System

  • Cost Center Catalog Definition
  • Move System: Organization Unit Catalog Definition
  • Location Catalog Definition
  • Person Catalog Definition

These settings change the catalogs used in the legacy system move window for selection of respective move action attributes. For example, changing the 'Cost Center Catalog Definition' setting will change the catalog used in the 'Cost Centers' section of the 'System Move' move window (see topic 'Move' for a screenshot). Using a different catalog could allow e.g. for additional filtering of cost centers offered for selection.

Note that these customizations do not affect the legacy system move window on the web client.

  • Systems Catalog Definition

The setting changes the catalog used for systems selection in the legacy Mass Move editor.

Open user settings

Settings specified in the 'Settings - Asset Manager' window apply to all users. Should the need arise to introduce user-specific settings, this would have to be done via Valuemation mainparameters. Button 'Open user settings' opens a catalog of user settings stored as mainparameters where such mainparameter could be created. Note that this task requires advanced expertise.

Data Check Definitions

The button opens a catalog of data check definitions. Data checks are used mainly in conjunction with CIRD.
