Model Release

Model Releases act as templates for certain standard Releases that occur regularly. The Model Releases contain a framework of information which is used to reduce the amount of work involved when creating a new Release. The pre-filled data in the Model Release can be used in the new Release or adjusted as required.

Basically the 'Model Release' term stands for the 'Model Release Package' because the Model Release Units are always subordinated to the Package and cannot be handled separately without the Package in the following use cases.

The important elements in the Model Release administration are:

  • The 'Create New Model' action - enables you to create a new Model Release from the existing Release.
  • The specific 'Release Package (Models)' and 'Release Units (Models)' catalogs - list the existing Model Release Packages and Units.
  • The 'Create New Release from Model' action - enables you to create a new Release from the selected Model Release.

The Model Release is involved in the following use cases:

  1. Creating a Model Release
  2. Creating a new Release from a Model Release
