Process Life Cycle

This topic helps to understand how to handle processes in development and productive environments, what can be done in each development status, how to work with versions etc. It's necessary to understand the context of deployment process.

Warning: Import of XML into productive database HAS TO BE conflict-less. Conflicts like Modified x Modified indicate a problem in XML and such XML should not be imported into productive database.

Statuses

In Development – changes are possible

Debug – it's possible to start a process, changes are not possible

Released – ready for deployment, changes are not possible, this creates a new process version

Active – it's possible to start a process, changes are not possible

Retired – new process instances are not created, existing process instances continue to run

Error – new process instances are not created, existing process instances continue to run
