Customization Log Catalog

Changes in root technical objects are logged in the Customization Log catalog (found in the Customization Logging part of the Valuemation Core sidebar). By double-clicking any entry the appropriate customizer (Catalog customizer, View customizer,...) gets opened.

The catalog contains the following columns:

Column

Meaning

Date

Date and time when the change occurred

Translated Object Type

Object type of the technical object affected by the change (translated name)

Exists

Signifies whether the affected object currently exists in the database. (E.g. If you have deleted an object, the information about the deletion is present in the log but the object itself no longer exists in the database. This will be signified by 'Exists'='False'.)
If an object does exist in the database, it is possible to open it for editing directly from the Customization Log catalog - use the 'Edit logged object' command (see below).

Object Identification

Object type of the technical object affected by the change

Type of Change

Inserted, Modified, Deleted, XML Import

Comment

Comment (the task under which the change has been made). See Working with log comments for more information.

User (User ID)

User ID of the user logged on when the change occurred. Note that for this information to be meaningful, each customizing person must use their own distinctive user.

User (User Name)

User name of the user logged on when the change occurred. (See the 'User Manager' chapter for more information.)

Committed

Check box displaying the Committed status of the change. See Committing a Change for more information.

Object Condition

Condition uniquely identifying the affected object.
