Authorization by Type is the most general of the authorization types. It refers to a complete Business Object Type. This way you can limit the operations with all business objects of a particular BO Type.

Authorization by Type

This can be used to grant / deny general access to whole areas of functionality in a broad, general manner. For example this authorization could be used to deny access to contract information by specifying No Read on BO Types Contract and ContractItem. A user with No Read on these BO Types would also not be permitted to display the contracts of a system.

The BO Type itself is specified in the upper section of the screen. No further controls are needed in this case.
