Activating the Authorization Management

To switch the Authorization Management in Valuemation on/off, go to the General dialogue in the Authorization Manager and check/uncheck the Activate the permission management check box. The permission management will be enabled/disabled.

All the other users who might be currently logged into Valuemation must restart the application so that the change comes into effect.

Note: As your first step when creating the rights system, you should ensure that only the authorized personnel is allowed to create and modify authorizations, by granting appropriate permissions to the technical object type action: Authorization Manager, using Authorization by Instance (actionid=801).

Note: Only the administrators should be granted access to Authorization Manager.
