Tasks on the Group Mapping Tab

On the Group Mapping tab, you can assign individual users to groups. It is possible to map users to groups and unmap the users from the groups. The following topics describe these actions in step-by-step detail.

Mapping Users to Groups

To map users to groups:

  1. Select the group you want to work with in the Available Groups drop-down menu.
  2. If you want to add (map) all users from the Available Users to the selected group, click Add all button from the Main Controls.
  3. To add (map) selected users to the selected group, choose the users you want to add, in the Available Users list. Select multiple items by dragging or holding CTRL or SHIFT while clicking. Click Add button from the Main Controls to complete the process of adding users. The selected users move from the Available Users list to the Mapped Users list.
  4. Click Apply to keep changes or - when prompted to save changes on exit - click OK to confirm.

Note: Each user can be mapped to none group or as many groups as you want.

Unmapping Users from Groups

To unmap users from groups:

  1. Select the group you want to work with in the available Groups drop-down menu.
  2. To remove (i.e. unmap) selected users from the selected group, choose the users you want to remove, in the Mapped Users list. Select multiple items by dragging or holding CTRL or SHIFT while clicking. Click Remove button from the Main Controls to complete the process of removing users. The selected users move from the Mapped Users list to the Available Users list.
  3. Click Apply to keep changes or, when prompted to save changes on exit, click OK to confirm.
