New Local Value Set

If 'Search value sets and object types' returns no suitable results and there is no need to create a reusable global parameter value set (scenario (B) from topic 'Choice Parameter - Three Scenarios'), a private parameter value set can be created. Initiate this creation by selecting the 'Define private values only for this parameter' check box and clicking 'Ok'.

  1. In the first step, you select how simple or complex a value set to create:
    • Local Simple List - a very basic value set in the form of a simple list
    • Local Value Set - a more advanced value set with the possibility of translations, descriptions and pictures
  2. In the next step, you create the actual values directly in the 'Possible Values' section of the 'Parameter Definition' editor. For each value, click the 'Create new parameter value set item' button at the top of the section. The 'Edit: Parameter Value Set Item' editor opens.
  3. In the editor, specify stored and display values (mandatory) and optionally a description, a picture and value translations.
