Global Settings

Default values for user-specific attributes of the KnowledgeCenter-Valuemation connection. The tab contains the following items:

• Application Area

  Name of the KnowledgeCenter application area which will be used for searches performed from Valuemation.

  Application areas are subsets of all information stored in the KnowledgeCenter database (see also 'Key KnowledgeCenter Concepts').

• Perspective ID

  Name of the KnowledgeCenter perspective which will be active when KnowledgeCenter is opened from Valuemation.

  Perspectives are predefined layouts of the KnowledgeCenter workspace (see 'Introduction to KnowledgeCenter' for more information). As KnowledgeCenter is used primarily for its search functionality when called from Valuemation, so-called 'Search Perspective' is most likely to be used. The 'Search Perspective' is identified by Perspective ID 'perspective_Search_List'.

• Search Field

  Search field used for the KnowledgeCenter search called from Valuemation.

  KnowledgeCenter search input provides several search fields. When search is called from Valuemation, some information from the source ticket is automatically passed from Valuemation to KnowledgeCenter for use as search criteria. The 'Search Field' attribute specifies which KnowledgeCenter search field gets populated with the information taken over from the Valuemation ticket. The 'Fulltext' field is the most likely candidate.
