How to Auto-approve (Skip Approving)

To completely skip approving of requests in your processes, delete or inactivate all SRM Configurable Tasks with task type 'Approve Request'.

1. Open the 'SRM Configurable Tasks' catalog.
2. Open individual tasks and make sure the 'Generate Task Results' check box in the task editor of each of the tasks is unchecked. The check box activates/deactivates generating of task instances based on the SRM configurable task definition.

Skipping the approval of only some request items within a request happens automatically. Those request items which do not have assigned (via item or by condition) any active 'Approve Request' SRM Configurable Task are auto-approved.

Note that if you define approval based on a request condition (e.g. if the request price is above a certain value) and a particular request actually matches the condition, then no item of this request will be auto-approved. In this case the approver should know that he or she is expected to approve the request as a whole (i.e. there is no need to inspect each item individually).
