Ticket Type

Ticket Type is a more detailed classification (categorization) of a ticket. It is a higher level of classification than Category but lower level than Ticket Class.

Ticket Class and Ticket Type in particular will often be used in Searching, Grouping and Sorting functions. Both Ticket Class and Type will also feature strongly in reports which may be generated about Tickets.

Ticket Type in Edit Mode

Open the Ticket Type in Edit Mode by double-clicking on the highlighted Ticket Type in the catalog or selecting the Edit Option. The Ticket Type is displayed in Edit Mode.

The following attributes are displayed:

  • Ticket Type

    The name of the Ticket Type.

  • Field Group

    There is the possibility to summarize logical elements which belong together by their field group name.

  • Comments

    A Comment field allows a more detailed explanation of the Ticket Type.

  • Valid From / Valid To

    Start and end date between which the ticket type is effective.
