Compare Results Catalog

The results of the Compare scan are also logged centrally in the Compare Results Catalog. For each analyzed rule (i.e. the Compare rule), one or more messages can be generated. More than one record can be written per messages if more than one object is involved.

The Compare results catalog has the following structure:

  • Rule name

    Name of the Compare Rule

  • Result

    A message determining if the comparison was successful or ended with an error (e.g. Successful, Warning etc.). A full list of messages and the explanation follows. The message logging can be enabled or disabled in Options.

  • System name

    System identification.

  • VM Object type

    Domain class of compared object (e.g. Component, Person, System...).

  • VM Business key

    Identification of the particular object.

  • VM Cardinal number

    Number of allowed instances derived from the Compare rule.

  • VM Object count

    A real number of compared objects on the VM side.

  • Workstation name

    Identification of the Workstation.

  • SM Object type

    Domain class of the compared object (e.g. Component, Workstation...).

  • SM Business key

    Identification of the particular object.

  • SM Cardinal number

    Number of allowed instances derived from the Compare rule.

  • SM Object count

    A real number of compared objects on the SM side.

Actions on the catalog are:

  • Complete Compare

    Runs the compare process for all systems.

  • Compare Processing

    Opens the 'Compare Processing' catalog. You can select the action and start it for the pre-selected compare result(s).

  • Compare Solution

    Finds the most suitable action in Compare Processing actions and starts it for the pre-selected compare result(s).
