Carrier Type

Data source is called carrier type within the Costing & Charging module. A data transfer is accomplished per carrier type, i.e. transfer program will have to be provided and assumption structures have to be specified per carrier type. Data sources with the same set and/or table structures can be summarized under one carrier type.

With this function you can specify which data sources are transferred to Costing & Charging. The definition of the names for the carrier types is important since their presence is examined with the following steps. The program generator needs the data in the specific record length. In the field ' userexit ' you can enter the 2-digit (!) names of a COBOL program, which is then implemented as subroutine at the beginning of the assumption. All other data are used for the documentation.
