Web Services in Valuemation

The following technical Object Types are available in Valuemation:

• Web Service Client

• Web Service

These object types are used to organize and authenticate service requests.

There are two catalogs managing the web services:

• Web Services

• Web Service Clients

The catalogs are located in the Valuemation Core Business View > Web Service folder.

To use the Valuemation Web Services, the following steps must be accomplished:

1. A Web Service must be defined.
   1. A Service Workflow must be prepared.
2. A Web Service Client must be defined.
   1. Users/Groups must be assigned.
   2. The roles must be defined and used properly.
3. The 'use.web.service.clients' mainparameter must be set to true.
